Learning how to express your ideas through article writing is a great means to becoming a professional writer.

The crux of an article is the content. Organizing your ideas will make your article more readable and will earn you a greater audience. Consider these two steps when writing an article:

1. Use the simplest possible language

Your writing should be able to reach maximum number of readers. This means that it must be written in the simplest language which can be understood by the widest range of people. Most frequently the writers of magazines and newspapers use the fourth grade level.

These writers are highly skilled and could write at a much higher level, but keep their reporting at an almost universal level, so the news can reach more people. Of course not all publications can communicate at such a remedial level.

Technical, social, or political magazines involve more advanced issues than mere reporting, so the language in such publications is more complex and specialized, as are the readers of those articles. Aside from these specialized magazines, a straightforward and simple style of writing is preferred.

2. Present your ideas in an interesting way

Your ideas should be represented in such a way that they are useful to the audience. The better you frame your ideas, more readers will be attracted towards your article. Organize your ideas in such a manner that it entertains the readers. Make sure that dont write whole descriptive stuff so that the readers feel bored. Most of the articles written for the internet or for magazines are in classic style known as five paragraph essay, which is an ideal format for writing articles in brief. If this style is followed then you can express your ideas in a very beautiful way with the good and interesting start and end.

A guide to the five paragraph essay:

1) First paragraph: Introduction-to represent the actual topic and related concepts in brief.

2) In the second, third, and fourth paragraphs, expand on the topic from the introduction in simple, yet creative language.

3) In the fifth paragraph, summarize the topic that you've introduced.

By keeping the language of your articles understandable, simple, and clairvoyant, you will be able to write for magazines or Internet publication. Article Writing

This is a good way to build high quality one way links to your website. It works by you writing articles, or having them written for you, and posting them to article distribution services. You can also find services that will post them to these services for you to save you a considerable amount of time.

The other benefit to article writing is that you can establish yourself as an authority on the issue in question, and thereby increase people's perception of the quality of your site. This will lead to more return visitors, and higher esteemed value of your opinions and information.

3 Way Linking

This is like a step up from reciprocal linking. It is still link trading though, but done more complexly than reciprocal linking. It works by you linking to website A, website A then linking to website B, and website B linking back to you.

3 way linking is still suboptimal however, in that the links are generally from unrelated websites. This means the benefit they convey to your own site in the eyes of the search engines is seriously less that it would be if they were more relevant to the theme of your site.

Site Building

Some folks have tried methods such as building a blog and simply covering it in links to the site you are trying to promote. This really doesn't work well at all, and looks really tacky. If you have a high quality site on a topic relevant to your other site, then by all means some well placed links will be of good value.

Building high quality secondary sites is not a good idea if done for purely link building purposes however, as the labor involved in simply too great to be time effective.

Ahhhh, my favorite link building method, and the one I would most highly recommend to you. This method is the best of all methods mentioned above. It is automated, easy, and extremely effective.

History of MythBusters

What is MythBusters? MythBusters is a television show that was originally produced for the Discovery Channel in the US but has recently begun being broadcast in other countries, including the UK and Australia. The show is dedicated to proving or disproving urban legends, Internet rumors, news stories, and various other myths using the scientific method.

The format of the show consists of testing several myths each episode using science. First, the show's team attempts to re-create whatever situation occurs in the myth. Generally, objects must be constructed to properly re-create the situation, and this occurs in the team's workshops. Frequently, re-creation of the myths includes spectacular effects, such as explosions.

Results of the myth re-creation are then measured to determine whether there is a scientific explanation for the event. The myth is then classified as 'Busted,' 'Plausible,' or 'Confirmed.'

MythBusters Hosts The original team of MythBusters cast included Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. Both men have a background in visual effects. Savage is a special effects and industrial design engineer and an educator and actor. Hyneman is an expert in visual effects and owns an effects workshop called M5 Industries, which is where much of the show's work occurs.

In the beginning of the show, Hyneman is reported to have felt he was not interesting enough to host the show alone. Savage was brought on as a co-host. Part of the early and continuing appeal of MythBusters comes from the dynamic between these two team members. Typically, Hyneman is the straight man to Savage's funny guy.

The narration of the show is provided by Robert Lee, but in the UK and other areas, he is sometimes replaced by a local narrator.

Creation of the MythBusters 'Build Team' Originally, most of the staff at M5 Industries remained off camera, but as the show progressed, a few staff members become part of the MythBusters team. Eventually, three of these staff members created a MythBusters team of their own, called the 'Build Team.' The 'Build Team' originally consisted of Tony Belleci, Kari Byron, and Scottie Chapman.

Belleci is a builder on the show and is considered by his team members to be a risk-taker, performing a few of the most dangerous stunts. Byron is an artist and became part of the show by persistently appealing to Hyneman for a job at M5 Industries. Chapman, noted for her tattoos, is a metal worker and left the show after season 3. She was replaced by Grant Imahara, who often makes robots need for the show.

The 'Build Team' now works in its own workshop, called M7. Each episode of the show is divided between the original team and the 'Build Team.'

Other Cast Members The show has also included other cast members from time to time. For instance, the show included two interns or 'mythterns' for a period of time. These interns were contest winners and are no longer on the show.

Additionally, the team is supplemented by experts that appear when a Mythbusters episode requires their input. One of these experts was folklorist Heather Joseph-Witham, who appeared on camera for much of the first season. Other experts include firearms specialists, rocketry specialists, FBI agents, and others.

Not all members of the MythBusters team are human. In fact, a very important role is played by 'Buster,' the show's crash test dummy. Due to the fact that he has been used in many extreme situations, Buster has been repeatedly rebuilt and repaired. Workers call it smile training programs intended to convince staff to look and sound more cheerful, while giving them no particular reason to feel any more cheerful. When you boil it down, this kind of training does nothing more than itemize the specific service behaviors workers are expected to exhibit. It then becomes managements job to somehow enforce these designated behaviors into the daily operation of the business. If this approach has any effect at all, it typically creates conduct that strikes customers as mechanical and insincere. Worse, it often intensifies worker resentment and cynicism.

Instead of attempting to dictate what workers should be doing to delight customers, the better approach is to give workers opportunities to generate their own ideas for delivering a better customer experience. Managements role then becomes helping employees implement these ideas, allowing workers to enjoy the motivational boost they derive from positive feedback from delighted customers. Monster Blunder #2: Blaming poor service on employee cynicism. When business leaders complain to me about the cynicism of their workers, I'm always inclined to ask them if they believe these workers were already cynical before their first day on the job. If so, the organizations hiring practices are clearly not working very well. If not, then the cynicism may be a direct product of something in the organizational culture.

Employee cynicism is the direct product of an organizations visible preoccupation with self-interest above all else a purely internal focus. The focus in flashpoint businesses is directed outward, toward the interests of customers and the community at large. This fundamental difference in cultural focus makes all the difference in the world.

TO AVOID THE BLUNDER: Instead of trying to fix the employees, set out to fix the culture by removing operational obstacles to customer delight. Invite workers to participate in identifying and removing cultural roadblocks to further enhance their sense of involvement and ownership.

Monster Blunder #3: Using negative customer feedback as the primary basis for action. Businesses often implement elaborate customer surveys and other feedback mechanisms but then use them primarily to highlight customer problems and complaints. Employees come to dread these measurement and data-gathering initiatives, since the emphasis is always on the negative, on finding out whos to blame for anything and everything that went wrong.

Chasing Dinosaurs: Where To Look For Fossils

Dinosaurs have long been a source of fascination and the inspiration for many stories and scientific explorations. Fossilized dinosaur bones have been discovered in different parts of the world for centuries, with the first scientifically recorded specimen called Megalosaurus unearthed near Oxford in 1824 by William Buckland.

Since then paleontologists and dinosaur experts have been coordinating digs worldwide with many stunning skeletons now on display in national museum collections.

Where Are Most Dinosaur Fossils Found?

North America is the number one place to look when it comes to these prehistoric creatures. China and Mongolia come in second with 'dragon' bones (as the locals called them), having been uncovered for thousands of years.

In the US more kinds of dinosaurs have been found than anywhere else in the world and Dinosaur Provincial Park in Alberta, Canada has yielded the highest numbers of species found, with 37 different kinds unearthed.

Everything from the Tyrannosaurus to the Brachiosaurus has been carefully removed piece by piece from the North American landscape and then painstakingly put back together.

Recent discoveries include the bizarre Therizinosaurid dinosaur in Utah (which has a combination of bird-like features and large claws) and a four-ton mummified Hardrosaur nicknamed Dakota. Dakota was unearthed in North Dakota and is an extremely well preserved, rare find that has paleontologists around the world excited.

Why Is North America So Conducive To Finding Dinosaur Bones?

For animals to become fossilized certain conditions must be present at the time of death. The body has to be in a place where it can be buried right away so that decomposition and disintegration of the bones can't take place. Along with this entombment certain minerals need to infiltrate the bones to make them resistant to crushing, a process called permineralization (this is an extremely slow process that is integral to the formation of fossils and petrified remains). Usually floodplains, river systems or the complete opposite, dry, arid deserts allow for this to happen.

In the fluvial settings (places where flowing water is present) dinosaurs were immediately buried in the river channels or covered up by sediment from floodwaters. During this process the scavengers and bacteria had no time to destroy the carcass and the mineral rich water could permeate the bones making them almost like stone. Entombed and preserved in this sediment they become fossilized.

Dinosaurs dying in the desert were also preserved due to a lack of organisms present in the arid environment that could break down the body. Scavengers were less attracted to the desiccated carcasses and so the sand buried the intact remains. During wet seasons rainfall infused the bones with minerals and fossilization took place.

These fluvial and desert environments were present across North America during the time of the dinosaurs and allowed the bones to be preserved, waiting for discovery.

Discovery

For dinosaur bones to be discovered certain conditions must also be present in the current environment. Long buried fossils become exposed when geologic uplifting (the process that forces land upwards) brings the old sedimentary layers close to the earth's surface. Erosion then exposes these sedimentary layers and consequently any fossilized creations. Through careful excavation and specialized tools we can then finish the job nature started.

Prime regions for finding dinosaur bones are deserts with bluffs, buttes and cliffs, canyons, riverbanks and flood plains, mountainous zones and eroded hillsides. These places also need to be open and unpopulated areas where the bare earth is available for paleontologists to dig for remains.
