Your mindset and your belief have more power to draw you towards success then any knowledge that you have acquired. There's this guy that makes cars, you might have heard of him, by the name of Henry Ford. He actually only had a tiny amount of formal education but he possessed a mindset that created in him a burning desire to obtain his goals. "Whether you think you can or think you can't you are right." Is one of the phrases attributed to Henry Ford and is one to take to heart.
It was his mindset that took him from a under educated laborer to a leader in the automotive industry. You need to cultivate the same type of mindset if you wish to succeed. A mindset that doesn't know the meaning of the word can't!
If you are constantly using the word can't you are sure to find failure. You have to believe you can before you can. I like to define can't as:
C= Conveniently.
A= Accepting.
N= Negative.
T= Thoughts
Whenever you say you can't do something, you are conveniently accepting negative thoughts. There is always a way to achieve your goals.
If you don't know how to do something that doesn't mean you can't do it.
If it hasn't been done before, that doesn't mean it can't be done.
Just like you set your goals you need to create a mindset that gives you a burning desire to achieve your goals. All you goals can be achieved if you believe.
Besides can't there is another term you should avoid and that is newbie. "I am a newbie", is probably the most commonly used excuse that I hear.
I know this doesn't sound like an excuse, but it is. Gary Ambrose pointed this out to me a couple of years ago. When you say you are newbie, you are using that as an excuse. The reason for this is that you never say I am a newbie unless you need an excuse.
Question: What is your domain name?
Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.
Question: What niche are you working in?
Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.
Question: Have you started building your list yet?
Answer: No, I am a newbie.
It is apparent by the questions and answers that newbie is being used as an excuse because they haven't done anything yet. I have to admit that I said I was a newbie when I just started but the faster you get over this the better, for you.
But just being a newbie doesn't mean that you can't take action. Getting started doesn't take a lot but you have to take action in order to start. - 15254
